Handwashing Guidelines

Hand washing is still the single most effective way to prevent illness according to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). Wash your hands before eating, after using the restroom, when you cough or sneeze, or whenever they are obviously dirty. The CDC recommends vigorous scrubbing with warm, soapy water for at least 15 seconds. While you wash, sing a verse of "Happy Birthday", Yankee Doodle Dandy", or the "Kaiser School Song"!

When soap and water are not available, hand sanitizer is a good option.
